The Wet Chemistry Experts

Humic Growth Solutions is a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of organic humate products. Specializing in the wet chemistry extraction of humic and fulvic acids, we offer our activated products in a liquid concentrate, soluble powder and patented granule form.

Our process begins with the highest quality raw materials micro-pulverized in their naturally dry form, precisely blended into our proprietary alkaline or acidic wet chemistry formulas and micro-quad filtered to separate out all insoluble material.

Our products are manufactured for worldwide distribution, with production capacity capable of meeting agricultural market demands around the globe.  We didn’t invent humic, we perfected it!

How does humic acid work?
By supplying the soil with sufficient humic acid, we help to bind cations (positively charged elements). The ability to chelate positively charged multivalent ions (Mg, Ca, Fe and other “trace minerals” of value to plants) is probably the most important role of humic acid, with respect to your soil. By chelating the ions, humic acid facilitates the uptake of the ions by means of several mechanisms, one of which is preventing their precipitation (leaching through the soil). Another is the direct and positive influence on their bio-availability. It can also detoxify the soil of heavy metals. Research has shown that heavy metals can be “locked up” with the addition of humic acid.

What is humic acid?
Humic acids are an excellent natural and 100% organic way to provide plants and soil with a concentrated dose of essential nutrients, vitamins and trace elements. The best source of humic acid is derived from mid western sedimentation layers called Leonardite. Humic acids enhance plant growth particularly biomass production and fertility of the soil. As humic acids are completely decomposed, they do not enter into nutritional competition with plants for nutrients such as for nitrogen. Current scientific studies show that the fertility of soil is determined to a very large extent by the content of humic substance in matrix. Their high cation-exchange capacity (movment of ions across the root), oxygen content as well as high water holding capacity are but a few reasons for using humic acids in the improvement of soil fertility and plant growth.

How does humic acid benefit your plants?
Humic acid increases nutrient uptake, drought tolerance, and seed germination. It increases the microbial activity in the soil, making it an excellent root stimulator. Humic acid increases the availability of nutrients in our fertilizers and in those already existing in your soil. It will help to aerate the soil from the inside. It will also help to lower the pH of the soil to a more neutral level and will flush high levels of salts out of the root zone, all of which will help to promote better plant health and growth.

“Using our proprietary Wet Chemistry extraction process, we ACTIVATE the humic acid molecule making it more functional, enhancing its abilities: CEC, Buffering, Chelation, and Complexation. Whereas other methods of non-alkaline extraction do NOT activate those functional humic molecules, thus drastically reducing the benefits.”

-HGS

There are significant differences between nonprocessed humate (raw material) and humates which have undergone the wet chemistry process(such as our Humi[K] products). When not processed, humates are refractory, meaning that microbes cannot break them down. They have little to no functionalities, except possibly as colloidal powders.  Dr. Mir Seyedbagheri (our Director of Research and Development) has conducted various studies on nonprocessed humates for approximately 36 years and still has a 27-year-old sample in his lab, that has never dissolved. The situation is similar in the soil. They may dissolve but over a significantly long period of time.

However, when we use the wet chemistry process, we activate functional groups such as carboxyls, phenols, etc. By doing so, we enhance chelating, complexing, and buffering capacities. Additionally, this creates micropores in which roots, water, and nutrients reside.

In conjunction with their current fertilizer applications, farmers all over the world are experiencing enhanced nutrient translocation in the roots and other functionalities in soil solution chemistry as a result of their Humi[K] applications.

“Our once struggling farmer’s banana production is now almost twice what it was before using your Humic. Also, his production costs are down substantially.”
“THIS YEAR WE TRIED A NEW PRODUCT ON OUR CORN MAZE “HUMIC”. IT WAS BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION BY A FRIEND OF OUR FAMILY. AFTER LISTENING TO THE PROMISES OF THE PRODUCT WE WERE INTERESTED BUT NOT SURE IF WE WANTED TO GAMBLE ON A NEW PRODUCT ON OUR MAZE WHICH IS SUCH A BIG PART OF OUR CASH FLOW FOR THE YEAR. WE DECIDED TO GIVE IT A TRY ON OUR 2017 MAZE OF 15 ACRES. WE PURPOSELY DID NOT SPRAY ONE ACRE AS TO COMPARE RESULTS. WE WERE SHOCKED AT THE DIFFERENCE. WE SPRAYED OUR FIELD ONE TIME PRIOR TO PLANTING AND WATCHED AS THE CORN BEGAN TO GROW. WE NOTICED QUITE A BIT OF DIFFERENCE IN THE GROWTH OF THE YOUNG CORN AS COMPARED TO THE ONE ACRE WE DID NOT SPRAY. AS OUR FIELD BECAME MORE MATURE THE DIFFERENCE WAS QUITE NOTICEABLE. OUR CORN AVERAGED 12 ½ FEET TALL IN THE SPRAYED FIELD AND ABOUT 8 FEET IN THE UNSPRAYED FIELD. WE USE A TYPE OF CORN THAT IS SUPPOSED TO AVERAGE 8 TO 9 FEET TALL. THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE WAS THE EARS OF CORN, SOME 16 TO 18 INCHES LONG AND TO BIG TO FIT IN OUR 4 IN CORN BLASTERS (WHICH WE USE A LOT OF OUR CORN COBBS FOR). MOST STALKS HAD DOUBLE EARS OF CORN WHICH IS RARE WITH THIS TYPE OF CORN.
WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO USE “HUMIC” AGAIN THIS YEAR WITH MULTIPLE SPRAYINGS ON ENTIRE CROP.”

Higher yields, start with Humi[K]

Agricultural producers worldwide are seeking to reduce dependency on synthetic fertilizers and chemicals. Humic products, produced through our proprietary wet chemistry processes, provide an efficient and economical means to return carbon to the soil. Without the replenishment of carbon, the addition of man-made synthetic nutrients is pointless. The use of humic products is thus the best path to coveted agricultural sustainability.
